About Legacy
Legacy is an award-winning journal produced by students of Reading Area Community College. Legacy’s goal is to serve as our school’s creative outlet and provide a showcase for the excellence achieved by our students. Through prose, poetry, artwork, and photography, Legacy reflects the diversity and richness within 中国澳门博彩官网’s campus. As it is entirely student-run, Legacy also provides an excellent opportunity for students who choose to serve on its team to gain hands-on publishing experience.
Join Our Staff
Legacy's student editors are responsible for every creative aspect of production including soliciting and selecting submissions, editing and preparing selected pieces for publication, final copy proofing, creating the design and layout of the journal. Join Legacy and learn about the real-world process of assembling a publication.
To join our staff, all you have to do is to show up. We have meetings on campus or over Zoom. Please email us at legacy@517b2b.com for meeting times and location.
Submit to Legacy
All works featured in Legacy are the products of current and past 中国澳门博彩官网 students. Submissions are accepted year-round from any student currently enrolled at 中国澳门博彩官网. In addition, we are open to hearing from recent graduates (alums no more than five years out). The exact deadline is established at mid-semester in fall. Legacy welcomes:
- all genres of writing – poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, personal and researched essays, screenplays
- artwork
- photography
We also welcome hybrid texts, excerpts from longer prose pieces if self-contained, mixed-media art, three-dimensional works of art such as sculptures, and original musical compositions.
We encourage students to submit as many pieces as they wish. However, we do not publish all submissions. We select the ones that would help us create the best possible journal featuring the work of the finest writers and artists 中国澳门博彩官网 has to offer. To get a sense of our editorial preferences, see our archive to view past volumes of Legacy—and check out our featured poem, "The Art of Gift Giving" by Nicholas Fulwood, Legacy's Editor-in-Chief.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions and submit your work.
